Construction consisted of cutting all work pieces to length and then drilling or milling features. 

Once most of the pieces were machined, the stand was welded together and assembled.  

The planned construction schedule was to machine each part to completion but it ultimately proved more efficient to process jobs by machine to reduce the number of setups and cleaning required.
